वागर्थाविव संपृक्तौ वागर्थप्रतिपत्तये।
जगतः पितरौ वन्दे पार्वतीपरमेश्वरौ॥

jagatah pitarau vandE pArvatIparamEshvarau
This is the first verse of Raghuvamsham by Mahakavi Kalidasa.
Meaning :-
"For the correct grasping of words and their sense, I bow to pArvati and paramEshvara who are the parents of the universe and are connected together like words and their meaning."
