- Dattatreya: The God who is associated with Dogs as his gurus. The four dogs present with him in the pictures always, symbolize the four Vedas of Indian culture.
- Kal Bhairawa: One of many forms of Lord Shiva, Kal Bhairav is the fierce form where he rides a Dog as his ‘vahana’ (mount).
